Update 20th May

My walk has ended !
After resting my foot for nearly 3weeks, there was little improvement, I returned to Dorset and I've strained tendons in my foot. No serious fracture, but I've got to take it easy for a couple of months.
So I'm planning a road trip/ camping by car. If the weather improves I'll stay in UK and visit places I haven't been. If the weather doesn't improve I shall cross to France and head for the Alps. . . .

3rd May

Another hot day 27°
An English family are camped next to me in a bell tent. They live in Cordoba and are teachers at the English school there. I've been invited around at beer-o'clock (5ish) each evening. Andy and Ursula have 3 delightful young daughters.
In the evening I had dinner with my Dutch cyclist neighbours, so a very sociable day.
What I love about the weather here is the low humidity, it makes the heat delightful, and no dew on the grass in the mornings.
The dawn chorus is incredible, and birds are singing most of the day. Familiar garden birds on a scale I remember from my childhood.

May 1st

It's great the diversity of people I'm meeting. Mainly cyclist's, the past 3 day's a Dutch couple and their son have been camped next to me. Willem is the founder of
commonland.com
an organisation piloting landscape restoration in Spain, (he's been here on business as well as pleasure), Columbia, South Africa& India. Check-out the website.

The site is pretty full as mayday is a holiday w/e here.
The weather is perfect, mid 20's. I've just got to let my foot heal, which isn't easy with the lovely mountains on the doorstep
